Ramon Dino is beginning to look every bit like a bodybuilder preparing to defend the biggest title of his career. The reigning Classic Physique Olympia champion shared a series of impressive physique updates from Bev Francis Powerhouse Gym in New York roughly 5.5 weeks out from the 2026 Mr. Olympia. Dino displayed a combination of size and increasingly sharp conditioning as he continues preparations for his first Olympia title defense.
The update also carried some extra significance. Dino trained at the legendary gym before undergoing an assessment with renowned IFBB Pro League judge Steve Weinberger.
Ramon Dino Looks Shredded 5.5 Weeks Out From 2026 Mr. Olympia
Dino shared several photos from the session, including a rear double-biceps pose that provided a particularly revealing look at his current condition.
His back is showing considerable separation while his legs already display deep definition and vascularity. With several weeks of preparation still remaining, Dino appears to be well on his way toward bringing another elite package to the Olympia stage.
Dino reflected on his experience at the gym and the opportunity to work with Weinberger.
“It was a huge honor to be part of such a special event and share moments with people who helped shape this sport.”
He added:
“We got a great workout in, shared some experiences, and also did an assessment with @steveweinberger.bevsgym.”
The visit came as Bev Francis Powerhouse Gym celebrated 40 years of history. Known throughout bodybuilding as the “East Coast Mecca,” the gym has hosted generations of the sport’s biggest stars.
For Dino, however, the timing of the assessment is particularly interesting. With the Olympia rapidly approaching, getting an up-close evaluation from Weinberger gives the defending champion another opportunity to assess his physique before stepping onstage in Las Vegas.
Dino Enters Olympia As The Man To Beat
This year’s preparation represents a completely different situation for Dino.
For years, the Brazilian star was chasing Chris Bumstead at the top of Classic Physique. Dino finished runner-up to Bumstead at the Olympia in both 2022 and 2023 before dropping to fourth in 2024.
Following Bumstead’s retirement, the division finally opened up in 2025 and Dino took advantage. He captured his first Classic Physique Olympia championship, defeating Mike Sommerfeld and Terrence Ruffin to reach the top of the sport.
Now, everyone else is chasing him.
Dino has openly acknowledged that reality as he prepares for the 2026 contest. Earlier this year, he described himself as a target entering his first title defense, an inevitable consequence of becoming Olympia champion.
He also recently made it clear that he would welcome an even bigger challenge.
Ramon Dino Wants Another Shot At Chris Bumstead
Dino recently discussed the possibility of Bumstead coming out of retirement, saying he would like the six-time champion to return so he could finally attempt to beat him on the Olympia stage.
The dynamic would be dramatically different this time around.
During their previous battles, Bumstead owned the championship and Dino was attempting to take it away. Today, Dino is the defending champion, meaning a returning Bumstead would theoretically be the challenger.
Dino emphasized that distinction while responding to criticism over his desire to face his longtime rival again.
“The one who has to try is him, not me. Because today the title belongs to Brazil, not to him.”
There has been no confirmation that Bumstead intends to return to competition, and his recent social media activity has fueled plenty of speculation without an official comeback announcement.
Regardless of whether that rematch ever materializes, Dino already has plenty of challengers waiting for him in Las Vegas.
The 2026 Olympia Weekend is scheduled for Sept. 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Classic Physique taking center stage on Friday. Dino’s latest update suggests the defending champion is already dialing in his conditioning with approximately 5.5 weeks remaining.
For the first time in his Olympia career, Dino isn’t trying to catch the champion. He is the champion everyone else has to catch.
