Chris Drinkwater, 36, has competed in two major competitions winning them both in a short space of time.
In May, he was at Ben Hall in Rugby where he won the UKDFBA (United Kingdom Drug Free Bodybuilding Association) NBW (National Bodybuilding Worldwide) Classic.
This month he followed that up with a victory at the World Championships in Manchester.
He said: “It has been a great journey and to be crowned champion has been wonderful.
“I have been training for over 15 years and decided to move into bodybuilding just last July.
“Getting a coach made a huge difference and I would advise anyone taking the leap to do make sure they have someone who can help on board.
“I had to cut change my diet and I ended up losing 12kgs and came down to 80kg to compete.”
Chris works as a personal trainer at JD Gyms in Blackburn.
He was crowned champion at the INBA/PNBA World Championships at the Manchester Central Convention Centre in front of hundreds of people. The tournament attracts over 200 athletes from 21 countries.
Chris added: “It was a good experience and to win was even better.
“I think going into these things you have to be focussed on yourself and present yourself best on stage.
“It is also important not to compare yourself and believe in yourself.

Chris said he could not have achieved anything without the support of his family and asked his fiancé Jessica to marry him after he won his first bodybuilding competition.
He said: “I was very nervous being a first-time competitor.
“My friends and family came to watch me compete and made such the loudest noise in the crowd which gave me more confidence on stage.
“I would like to thank my Jess and daughter Adrienna who have so supportive during the past year. Your family go through this with you.
“A big thanks also to my coach Damian Lees for his support.”
