In Sana’a, the winners of the Republic Bodybuilding Championship were honored. The championship was organized by the General Federation of the Sport under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with funding from the Youth Care Fund, and with the participation of champions from several governorates.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth for the Sports Sector, Ali Hadban, praised the level of organization and competition, emphasizing the Ministry’s continuous support for such championships due to their role in developing national sports. For his part, the President of the Federation, Najib Al-Jawfi, affirmed the Federation’s keenness to expand the sport’s base, while the Secretary-General of the Federation, Mohammed Al-Rawdi, appreciated the support from the Ministry and the Fund.
The honoring included winners in four weight categories (under 60, 70, 80, and over 80 kg). The first-place positions were distributed among players from the Capital Secretariat, Al-Hodeidah, Aden, Ibb, Al-Bayda, and Dhamar. The championship concluded with Ibrahim Tariq Al-Baraq being crowned champion in the over 80 kg weight category.
