Michal Krizo Arnold Classic Outlook: Why Pros Say He Should Skip 2027 Event

On Episode 308 of The Menace Podcast, host Dennis James was joined by Milos Sarcev and Chris Cormier, and the trio discussed Michal Krizanek’s big bodybuilding win in Slovakia. With momentum on his side, should Krizo now enter the 2026 Arnold? Apparently not, they suggested.

Slovakian mass monster, Michal “Krizo” Krizanek crushed his competition in Kosice on October 25 and took first place in the IFBB 365 Grand Prix Pro, but what’s next for the big man as he prepares to pump his career up a level in 2027?

“Krizo looks excellent,” observed Milos Sarcev as the panel reviewed footage of his performance at the 365 Grand Prix Pro. “I mean, he’s not the widest guy, but he creates the X-frame, V-taper, thickness of lower lats. You know, everything is there; shoulders, arms, legs.” Still, the crew agreed that Krizo did not dominate every pose, leading them to fear for his chances, should he enter the Arnold next March.

Krizo Can’t Win the Arnold Yet, Says the TMP Panel

With his highest placing at the Olympia being the sixth place that he earned last year,  the panel felt that the improving bodybuilder still has plenty more work to do before sharing the stage with Mr. Olympia winners such as Nick Walker, Hadi Choopan, and potential entrant Samson Dauda at the 2027 Arnold Classic. “There’s no way he can train for the Arnold, knowing that these guys are going to show up, (and think) ‘Oh, I’m going to beat (them),” said host Dennis James.

On the positive side, however, Krizo has almost a year to train towards the 2027 Mr. Olympia and could use this time to work on both his body and his presentation in order to improve his sixth place standing. To that end, Chris Cormier hinted that the right strategy might be for Krizo to use his qualified status to take time out from competition and reinvent himself ahead of the ‘O’ in Las Vegas.
