Roy Duval won Mr World, Mr Britain, the Mr Universe medium class and the Mr Europe medium class in 1973, all in the same year. He competed at the Mr Olympia in 1980 and was still winning titles in 1992.
Win rate here is first-place finishes as a share of all 12 professional contest results. It is published only where a career holds at least five, because below that a single placing moves the figure by twenty points or more.

Data updated
Known for
1973 is one of the most complete single seasons in this database. Mr World and Mr Britain outright, plus the medium class at both the Mr Universe and the Mr Europe. He defended the Mr Universe medium class in 1974.
The rest is longevity. He won the World Amateur Championships middleweight in 1979, placed thirteenth at the 1980 Mr. Olympia, and took the Mr Universe masters title in 1992, twenty-one years after his first recorded win.
Early career
His record opens in 1970 and his first win is the Mr Europe medium class in 1971. He was a regular at the professional Universe through the second half of the 1970s, finishing second in 1975 and third in 1976, 1978, 1981 and 1982.
Championship record
Championship appearances
Counted from the same results table below: an appearance is one contest entered (in the years the Olympia also judged weight classes, one appearance can carry two placings), an Olympia title is the overall win in that division, and Top 3 counts first, second and third together. The last row is every professional contest on record for Roy Duval.

Professional results
Every professional contest result on record for Roy Duval, 12 in all. Won by names the winner of the division Roy Duval competed in, and shows a dash where that winner cannot be pinned to one person in the database.
Where these results come from. Each contest in the table was recorded from a named source, and for Roy Duval that source is MuscleMemory. Open any contest above and that page names its own source and links to it where the source is still reachable. That archive no longer answers at the addresses we hold, so it is credited by name here and not offered as a link.
Amateur and other shows not counted above
17 results from amateur shows and other contests this archive does not class as professional. Every total on this page covers the professional career only, so these are listed here but never counted, and they have no contest page.

Legacy
A twenty-two year record with a sweep season in the middle of it, an Olympia appearance, and a masters title at the end. British bodybuilding has produced few longer careers and almost nothing has been written about this one.
Sources
Competition placings on this page come from our own contest database and cover his record from 1970 to 1992.
In 3 meetings, Chris Dickerson finished ahead of Roy Duval 3 times to 0.
Opponents are ranked by how often they shared a stage and how big the stage was, not by reputation. A meeting is one contest where both competed in the same division and both were placed.
