The Mutants Diet: 5,760 kcal Before the Olympics

Mr. Olympia 2026 is just around the corner, and Nick Walker has a clear goal—to bring a physique to the stage that the judges simply won’t be able to ignore. After his peak timing was off by a hair at last year’s Olympia (which resulted in a drop to sixth place), he’s leaving nothing to chance this year. He’s heading to Las Vegas to redeem his reputation, and to do that, he needs extreme muscle fullness and hardness.

In his recent video from September 7, “The Mutant” gave fans a peek into his diet. He revealed his special “high-carb” day, which is designed to maximize muscle glycogen storage. The result? A meal plan that would make a normal person’s stomach burst.

Six massive courses and endless rice

Walker’s strategy is extremely simple, but all the more taxing on the digestive system. He went with an absolute classic that works best for his body: chicken, Cream of Rice, sushi rice, bananas, and peanut butter.

“This is exactly 500 grams of sushi rice. It’s probably the biggest serving of rice I’ve ever eaten during prep in my entire bodybuilding career,” Nick laughed as he ate his post-workout meal. “But I can promise you it’ll be gone in two minutes.”

Most of his meals throughout the day revolve around premium rice porridge, which he prefers completely unflavored so he has 100 percent control over what goes into his body and can avoid unnecessary additives and artificial sweeteners in the very final stages of his prep.

Shocking Numbers to Wrap Things Up

When you tally up all the calories at the end of the day, you end up with some jaw-dropping macronutrient numbers. Here’s Walker’s final tally for one day:

  • Calories: 5,760 kcal
  • Carbohydrates: 950 grams
  • Protein: 327 grams
  • Fat: 77 grams

With that much fuel, Walker is well on his way to delivering one of the craziest and most intense physical performances in the history of the Open division on September 24–27 in Las Vegas.

How can he handle such an extreme calorie intake without straining his digestive system?

Looking at Nick’s meal plan, one thing is clear: consuming over 5,000 calories and nearly a kilo of carbohydrates from solid foods requires a perfectly functioning digestive system. Ordinary foods in such quantities would immediately leave you feeling sluggish and put you out of commission. The pros’ secret lies in choosing the most easily digestible ingredients and targeted supplementation.

The undisputed king of bodybuilding carbohydrates is Cream of Rice. It’s easy on the stomach, digests lightning-fast, and provides your muscles with immediate energy before and after your workout. To ensure that your body can actually break down and utilize such massive portions of protein and carbohydrates for muscle growth, it’s wise to use high-quality digestive enzymes. And to take the strain off your digestive tract, your regimen shouldn’t be without a premium whey isolate, which provides your muscles with pure amino acids without unnecessary fat or lactose.

Eat smart, build massive muscle mass, and don’t let poor digestion slow down your progress!
