Nepali athlete Binu GT has won a double medal at the 16th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship.
Binu won a gold medal in women’s swimsuit and a silver medal in model physique on the last day of the competition held in Thimphu, Bhutan on Saturday.
According to Dinesh Kumar Rajbhandari, Secretary of the Nepal Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Nepal won 1 gold and 1 silver medal on the last day. Sagendra Singh won gold in the men’s 80 kg category. Nepal won silver in the women’s team championship. Deepjung Rokamagar came fifth in the men’s 75 kg category.
Nepal won 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal. Earlier, Akash Shrestha won gold in the men’s sports physique under 170 cm, Sita Khatri won silver in the women’s athletic physique and Pukar Shakya won bronze in the men’s sports physique above 170 cm.
