Dharaneesh, a first-year student of the Post Graduate Diploma in Health Fitness and Nutrition (PGDHFN) programme at PSG College of Arts & Science, won the silver medal in the under-83 kg category at the All India Inter-University Powerlifting Men & Women Championship 2025–2026 held at Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science, Chennai.
Dharaneesh delivered an impressive performance in the competition, recording a squat of 302.5 kg, a bench press of 177.5 kg, and a deadlift of 290 kg, achieving a total lift of 770 kg.
His achievement has brought laurels to the college and reflects his dedication, discipline, and excellence in the sport of powerlifting.
