Sulphur Springs’ Logan Lowrance, Blaine Allen, Livingston’s Ty Thomas medal at state powerlifting meet


ABILENE, Texas (KLTV/KTRE) – Two lifters from Sulphur Springs and Ty Thomas of Livingston brought home medals from the Division II Class 4A state championship powerlifting meet at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene on Friday.

Sulphur Springs’ Logan Lowrance finished third in the 123-pound division. He squatted 450 pounds, bench pressed 340 pounds and deadlifted 375 pounds for a total of 1,165 pounds.

Sulphur Springs’ Blaine Allen finished fifth in the 198-pound division. He squatted 550 pounds, bench pressed 515 pounds and deadlifted 600 pounds for a total of 1,665 pounds.

Livingston’s Thomas finished fourth in the super heavyweight division. He squatted 710 pounds, bench pressed 500 pounds and deadlifted 555 pounds for a total of 1,765 pounds.

In the 114-pound division, Lindale’s Maximus Saenz finished 13th with a total of 865 pounds. Lindale’s Wylder Tate finished 14th with a total of 850 pounds.

In the 123-pound division, Bullard’s Brayden Bradley finished sixth with a total of 1,130 pounds.

In the 132-pound division, Lindale’s Gabriel Crisp finished 10th with a total of 1,195 pounds. Lindale’s Louie Evina finished 14th with a total of 1,130 pounds.

In the 181-pound division, Brownsboro’s Jacob Moyers finished 15th with a total of 1,415 pounds. Wills Point’s Tanner Maddox finished 25th with a total of 1,290 pounds.

In the 220-pound division, Lindale’s Elijah Holley finished 17th with a total of 1,465 pounds. Mabank’s Ryder Malone finished 20th with a total of 1,370 pounds.

In the 242-pound division, Athens’ Brandon Casas finished 13th with a total of 1,630 pounds. Athens’ Jose Rincon finished 15th with a total of 1,575 pounds.

In the 275-pound division, Gilmer’s Tahj Bush finished 14th with a total of 1,560 pounds. Chapel Hill’s Isaiah Collins finished 15th with a total of 1,525 pounds.

In the 308-pound division, Livingston’s Roman Ontiveros finished ninth with a total of 1,595 pounds. Center’s Jamie Jenkins finished 11th with a total of 1,570 pounds.

In the super heavyweight division, Van’s Landon Robinson finished ninth with a total of 1,495 pounds.
