A 35-year-old bodybuilder has been released on restrictive conditions in Thessaloniki after testifying on charges of dealing in performance-enhancing substances, authorities said.
Authorities said searches in private residences and a gym led to the seizure of 1,266 anabolic capsules and tablets, 301 injectable anabolic vials, 195 pharmaceutical capsules, 61 injectable pharmaceutical vials, 15,930 grams of prohibited powdered supplements and 3,802 capsules and tablets of non-approved supplements.
During his testimony, the 35-year-old bodybuilder and TikToker said the substances in question were not used by athletes and added that he was engaged in the legal trade of dietary supplements with the required documentation.
The imposed conditions include mandatory appearances at a police station, a ban on leaving the country and €5,000 bail.
Authorities also imposed the first two conditions on his 31-year-old sister and 61-year-old father, who were arrested in the same case.
