TNA continues to make moves on the transaction wire. Two more signings were announced for the roster. Elayna Black and Mr. Elegance have crossed the line to sign contracts. This news comes as no surprise considering both wrestlers have been featured on Impact in recent weeks. Now, their status is official.
TNA produced a video of Elayna Black signing the contract. She told TNA president Carlos Silva that her first show as a fan was TNA in 2010. Tommy Dreamer gave her a pep talk that she will be a star.
Black plied her craft in NXT as Cora Jade and won the NXT women’s tag titles with Roxanne Perez. Last year, Black was part of the talent crossover in the relationship between TNA and NXT. She challenged Masha Slamovich for the Knockouts Championship at Sacrifice, but she didn’t win gold on that evening. New authority figure Daria Rae (aka Sonya Deville) made her first act of power to bring Black back to TNA. Black has her sights set on taking the Knockouts title from Lei Ying Lee.
The Elegance Brand’s boy toy is flexing his physique in TNA. Mr. Elegance didn’t quit sign on the dotted line, but the contract is official nonetheless. He popped his pecs at Dreamer, who quipped, “I used to have a body like that myself.”
Mr. Elegance wrestled on the indies as AJZ. He had a few appearances in NJPW Strong, ROH, and TNA over the years. Most of AJZ’s matches came in OVW. Mr. Elegance is also a former national champion in natural bodybuilding and a freestyle skier. His fitness and charisma is a perfect fit for the Elegance Brand.
