Lynne-Marie Hand was repeatedly raped and issued with death threats by Mark McMillan.
The victim of a violent bodybuilder rapist has spoken out after the brute was convicted of attacking three women in under two years.
Twisted predator Mark McMillan, carried out his reign of terror against the women he was in relationships with at addresses in Ayrshire between January 2022 and July 23.
Lynne-Marie Hand, 39, told the Record the sick fitness fanatic strangled her as he raped her and also claims he battered her in a drug-fuelled rage when he lost his stash of cocaine.
The 46-year-old fiend was found guilty of the sick sexual assaults of three women at the High Court in Kilmarnock on December 15.
His first victim was raped on various occasions at addresses in Stevenston from January until December in 2022. The second woman was repeatedly raped in Kilwinning between June and September of 2022. She was also strangled and hit on her head and body during the attacks.
Lynne-Marie, who met McMillan in January of 2023, bravely waived her right to anonymity to open up on her five-month ordeal at the hands of a man she describes as a “monster”.
She said: “He manipulated me into moving into my house within two days of meeting with a sob story of having no gas or electricity. I took pity on him but he never left and the abuse started soon after.
“He had a severe cocaine habit and one night he started attacking me in bed and stamping on me because he couldn’t find his drugs and I wouldn’t give him cash to buy more.
“I split up with him, but he was on the phone crying and begging for forgiveness so I let him back into the house and he raped me for the first time that night.
“After that it became so frequent it was happening almost every day and would usually start while I was asleep.
“He’d choke me at the same time and knock me unconscious.
“I lost a lot of weight while I was with him and he was a huge, powerful bodybuilder.
“I knew he could have killed me very easily and I was terrified that I would die at his hands.
“He is a monster.”
Lynne-Marie said she knew she had to get out of the relationship after she was left with internal bleeding after a brutal sexual assault in July 2023.
She plucked up the courage to boot McMillan out of her house and turned to the police and Woman’s Aid for help, who installed cameras around her house to ensure her safety.
Soon after, Lynne-Marie found a phone McMillan had left behind containing old messages from his two other victims.
She contacted them and told them she had gone to the police – prompting both of the women to come forward.
McMillan was remanded in prison after he was convicted in December and will be sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh on January 21.
Lynne-Marie is pleading with authorities to keep him locked up behind bars.
She continued: “He raped and attacked three women in a year and no jail sentence can be long enough.
“What he has put me and his other two victims through will live with us forever, so he should have to face the consequences now.
“I know he will be a danger to women and society whenever he is released.”
Sharing images of her battered body, including bruises to her arms and face, Lynne-Marie added that she is sharing her story so members of the public know who McMillan is in a bid to help protect other women.
She said: “I want everyone to see his face and know what he did to me, because if he ever gets out, I know I did what I could to make sure other people are safe from him.”
