EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -From the gym to the stage, bodybuilders from all over the country came to the Pablo Center and showed off their guns for the Chippewa Valley.
Saturday was the Wisconsin Warrior Natural Classic Competition, as athletes competed for money and a chance at a pro card to compete in other higher-profile shows.
Athletes varied from pros trying to move up the ranks to amateurs looking to make a name for themselves.
Event promoters Tony and Courtney Spaeth say that Eau Claire provides a great environment for these athletes to make the best of their time in the Chippewa Valley and has gradually become a favorite of the athletes.
“We love being able to bring everybody to this beautiful downtown area. There is so much from the community that the athletes love and enjoy,” said Courtney Spaeth. “We’ve actually had athletes from previous shows move here because they love the area so much.”
The Spaeths also say that each year the roster for their competition keeps growing. Saturday’s competition hosted ninety-three athletes, almost thirty more than last year.
