‘Scary Movie’ Star and Professional Bodybuilder Jayne Trcka Dead at 62

Jayne Trcka, a professional bodybuilder, fitness model, and actor best known for her appearance in Scary Movie, has died at the age of 62.

Her family confirmed to TMZ that Trcka passed away on December 12 after being found unresponsive in her San Diego home.

A friend reportedly went to check on Trcka after repeated phone calls went unanswered and discovered her in the kitchen. Her son later confirmed her death to media outlets, saying he was not aware of any preexisting medical conditions. The San Diego Medical Examiner has confirmed her passing, though an official cause of death has not yet been released.

Born Jayne Marie Trcka on February 27, 1963, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, she grew up immersed in athletics, studying gymnastics and participating in multiple sports. After relocating to Southern California in the mid-1980s, she began weight training, which ultimately set her on a path into competitive bodybuilding.

By the late 1980s, Trcka was entering bodybuilding competitions and quickly established herself on the circuit. She earned first-place finishes at the 1997 California State Championships and the 1998 Junior Nationals, along with top-ten placements in more than 20 additional competitions over the course of her career.

Her physique and discipline made her a regular fixture in fitness publications, including MuscleMag International, Women’s Physique World, Flex, Iron Man, and Fighting Females.

In 2000, Trcka entered entertainment with her film debut as Miss Mann in Scary Movie, a role that introduced her to a mainstream audience. She went on to make appearances on shows like The Drew Carey Show and Whose Line Is It Anyway? She also appeared as a prison guard in Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” music video.

Outside of television and film, Trcka continued evolving professionally. She became a certified personal trainer after leaving her job with the U.S. Postal Service in the late 1990s. She later transitioned into real estate, working as a realtor in southern California in recent years.
