The Exact Meal Plan a Natural Bodybuilder Follows to Hit 180g of Protein in a Calorie Deficit


Being in a calorie deficit doesn’t have to equate to misery, and natural bodybuilder Jeff Nippard just proved such in his most recent video.

Known for his science-based approach to fitness, Nippard gives viewers a real look at how he structures his meals during a calorie deficit. In his latest “What I Eat in a Day” video, he shares the foods, nutrition contents, and timing that help him stay lean without sacrificing energy, performance, or enjoyment.

If you’re under-eating or forcing yourself to consume foods you don’t enjoy, it’s going to be difficult to actually stick to a calorie deficit. Nippard’s daily eats include plenty of protein-rich meals, balanced carbs, and healthy fats, all designed to fuel his workouts and keep hunger in check. Not to mention, ice cream at the end of the day.

Daily Macros

After consuming the following meals, his total daily macros come out to the following:

Breakfast

  • Scrambled egg whites with mushrooms, onion, spinach, turkey bacon, and goat cheese seasoned with garlic powder

  • Bowl of oatmeal with almond milk, two packets of Splenda, blueberries, and a kiwi

Lunch

  • Salad with chicken breast, mushrooms, strawberries, blueberries, turkey bacon, goat cheese, and Skinny Girl honey dijon salad dressing

Snack

Dinner

  • Bowl of ground turkey, cauliflower rice, Greek yogurt, shredded cheese, and Sriracha

Dessert

  • Pint of Halo Top ice cream
