Jayne Trcka has died at 62. TMZ reports that the bodybuilder and actress died on Dec. 12. She was best known for playing Miss Mann in the 2000 parody Scary Movie.
Who Was Jayne Trcka?
Trcka was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. Fascinated with athletics, she participated in gymnastics, dance, diving, and track. She earned a degree in graphic communications from Dakota County Technical Institute.
In 1986, Trcka moved to San Diego, California. Several years later, she began competing in local bodybuilding competitions. Her profile grew in the sport throughout the 1990s, earning first-place awards at the 1997 California State Championships, the 1998 Junior Nationals, and the 2004 Los Angeles Championships, along with numerous top-10 national finishes.
Trcka also became a certified personal trainer in 1998. She left her job with the United States Postal Service to focus on her fitness career. She also appeared as a model in magazines Flex, MuscleMag International, and Women’s Physique World.
Trcka Became An Actress
In 2000, Trcka took on the role of Miss Mann, the gym teacher in the hit Wayans Brothers parody Scary Movie. While the part took some crude shots at her athletic physique, it did lead to wider recognition and more roles.
Dubbing herself as “the actress with the unique physique,” Trcka was a guest on the television shows Whose Line Is It Anyway?, The Drew Carey Show, and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! She also starred in the films The Black Magic, Nudity Required, and Cattle Call. She even appeared as a security guard in the video for Lady Gaga’s 2010 song “Telephone”.
In later years, Trcka was a realtor for Realty Source California in San Diego.

The San Diego Medical Examiner also confirmed Trcka’s passing. They said her cause of death is pending. Her son said he was unaware of any condition that would have contributed to her passing.
