A personal trainer from Accrington has placed fifth in the world at the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF) World Championships.
Ryan Savage represented Great Britain at the event in Los Angeles, which is the biggest natural bodybuilding event in the world.
He placed fifth in the men’s open body-building light heavyweight class in the amateur part of the competition.
More than 60 different countries competed at this year’s world championships and there were more than 320 competitors on the day.
Ryan, 27, said: “It was a very surreal experience and I am really proud.
“The judges said I had a lot of muscle for someone so young and my quads are strong.
“I have been training for 10 years on and off, but very seriously now for three years.”

The former St Christopher’s High School pupil had a strict diet of only 2,000 calories a day, mostly eating chicken breast, vegetables, cream of rice and oats.
Ryan also remained dedicated to weight training and his weight reached as low as 77.2kg.
He placed third in the WNBF Supernaturals this year which led him to qualify for the WNBF World Championships.
Ryan, who works as a personal trainer at Jetts Gym in Accrington, launched his business, Savage Fitness, in 2021.
He also does online coaching, helping men and women reach their fitness goals and guiding people through diet plans.
He has competed in the European Championships in Germany, where he placed third, the British finals, where he scooped second place, and the NBF Northern, where he placed fourth.
