Jayne Trcka, who played Miss Mann in “Scary Movie,” reportedly died in December at the age of 62.
TMZ initially reported Trcka’s passing and her son confirmed she died on Dec. 12 at her home in San Diego.
According to the outlet, Trcka was found in her home unresponsive by a friend who had called multiple times over several days to no response.
First responders declared Trcka dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the San Diego medical examiner told the U.S. Sun that there was “trauma” to Trcka’s body, “but we wouldn’t be able to indicate cause of death at this time.”
Trcka gained popularity as a bodybuilder in the 1980s before eventually landing her first acting gig on the cult classic “Scary Movie.”
She went on to perform in several other movies and also landed a role as an officer in Lady Gaga’s music video for “Telephone.”
Trcka later worked as a realtor in California, Entertainment reported.
Trcka was born in 1963 in St. Paul and in 1998 quit her postal carrier job to focus full-time on bodybuilding before she began acting a few years later, that report stated.
