Following a sold-out Skipper Cup final between Nadroga and Nadi at Churchill Park in Lautoka, attention now turns to the prestigious Farebrother Challenge, which kicks off this Saturday.
Defending champions Naitasiri will begin their title defence against Vanua Champions Ra, who will be looking to make a strong statement in their challenge for the coveted trophy.
Ra will have the services of former Flying Fijians and Swire Shipping Fijian Drua halfback Peni Matawalu, whose experience and skills will be a major boost for the challengers.
The match is expected to be an exciting contest as Ra look to dethrone the holders, while Naitasiri will be determined to defend their title and maintain their dominance in the competition.
Following this weekend’s opening clash, the Farebrother Challenge will continue on 14 November, with the holders set to face Nadroga.
The competition will then move to 21 November, when the holders take on Tailevu, before wrapping up the scheduled challenge matches on 28 November against Nadi.
