Nick Walker managed to fulfill his biggest dream this year! However, after his triumph at Mr. Olympia 2026, he certainly doesn’t intend to settle for just one Sandow trophy. The American bodybuilder has now spoken openly about his future ambitions and set an exceptionally bold goal for himself. He wants to surpass Jay Cutler himself, win a total of five Mr. Olympia titles, and dominate the Arnold Classic four times! And as he himself admitted, a potential defeat in 2027 will certainly not stop him.
One title isn’t enough for him! Walker wants to rewrite bodybuilding history
Nick Walker is experiencing the most successful period of his professional career. After finishing sixth at last year’s Mr. Olympia—a result many fans considered a major disappointment—he managed to come back in the best shape of his life. At this year’s Mr. Olympia in Las Vegas, he showcased extraordinary muscle mass, hardness, and definition, which allowed him to defeat such names as Derek Lunsford, Samson Dauda, and Andrew Jacked.
The result was his very first Mr. Olympia title and the fulfillment of a dream he’d been chasing for many years!
But while some bodybuilders might treat themselves to a longer break after such a triumph, Walker is already thinking about his next victories. In a recent interview with Fouad Abiad on the Real Bodybuilding podcast, he surprised listeners with his long-term plans.
His goal is nothing less than to surpass the achievements of the legendary four-time Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler!

Five Mr. Olympia titles and four Arnold Classics? Walker is determined!
Jay Cutler is one of the most successful bodybuilders in history. During his professional career, he won Mr. Olympia four times and triumphed three times at the prestigious Arnold Classic. It is precisely these numbers that Walker has now set as the benchmark he wants to surpass.
“If I could break Jay Cutler’s record—winning about five Mr. Olympia titles and four Arnold Classic titles—I’d be satisfied,” Walker explained.
At the same time, however, he admitted that even achieving these milestones might not automatically mean the end of his competitive career. According to him, everything will depend primarily on his motivation and desire to continue at that particular moment. The American bodybuilder has only just claimed his first Mr. Olympia title. He has won the Arnold Classic only once so far, in 2021.
So, to truly surpass Cutler’s achievements, he would need to win four more Mr. Olympia titles and three more Arnold Classic victories!
Nevertheless, Walker believes he has what it takes to become a dominant figure in professional bodybuilding in the coming years.
What if he loses the 2027 Arnold Classic? Walker’s answer was surprising!
One of the biggest questions of the upcoming season is Walker’s participation in the 2027 Arnold Classic, which will take place in early March in Columbus, Ohio. It is there that he hopes to build on his triumph at this year’s Mr. Olympia and win another major trophy.
But the competition will certainly not be easy. Among his biggest rivals are defending champion Andrew Jacked and former Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan. Walker is well aware that, among today’s world-class competitors, even the slightest difference in contest form can decide the outcome.
And that’s exactly why he doesn’t consider a potential defeat to be a catastrophe!
“If I lost, it would just mean I need to take my form to the next level,” he explained.
He also recalled this year’s Arnold Classic, where he finished second behind Andrew Jacked. At the time, many expected Jacked to be one of the top favorites to win Mr. Olympia. But just a few months later, the situation completely reversed.
Walker won Mr. Olympia, while Jacked finished in fourth place!
According to Walker, this is the best proof that the results of one competition do not automatically determine the standings in the next.
Hadi Choopan, Samson Dauda, and Andrew Jacked? Anyone can win!
During the interview, Walker emphasized that the current Men’s Open category features one of the most evenly matched fields in recent years. According to him, the differences among the absolute top competitors are so small that the rankings could change significantly at any given competition. This is because the competitors stand side by side with extraordinary muscle mass, top-notch definition, and distinct physical strengths.
While Walker stands out for his extreme hardness and muscle density, Samson Dauda benefits from his proportions, and Andrew Jacked from an exceptional combination of height, width, and aesthetics. We mustn’t forget Hadi Choopan either, who—after skipping this year’s Mr. Olympia—is preparing for his next big challenge.
Walker therefore openly admits that any number of the world’s top competitors could beat each other at the next competition.
Nevertheless, he isn’t giving up on his goal. On the contrary, he believes that such strong competition can motivate him to keep improving.
When will he retire? Walker revealed just two reasons!
Another interesting topic of the interview was the future of Walker’s professional career. Although he has already achieved the highest possible bodybuilding title, he isn’t thinking about leaving the competition stage just yet.
In his own words, there are only two situations that could make him quit!
The first would be a loss of genuine motivation to continue. Walker explained that if he were to wake up in a few years and realize he no longer had the same passion for bodybuilding, he would consider it a natural time to end his career. The second reason would be a gradual decline in his physical abilities.
If his coach, Prabh, were to tell him that his body could no longer respond to training the way it used to, he said he would have to accept that reality. However, as long as he has enough motivation and his body allows him to compete at the highest level, he wants to keep going.
Whether he wins or loses, Walker definitely doesn’t plan to quit after his first setback!
Dominance Through 2030? Walker Is Headed for Immortal Legend Status!
Nick Walker has previously hinted that he’d like to win both the Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia every year until 2030. His latest statement only confirms that this isn’t just a short-lived burst of enthusiasm following his first Sandow Trophy win. The American bodybuilder wants to create his own era of victory and place his name alongside legends such as Ronnie Coleman, Phil Heath, and Jay Cutler.
The path to such successes, however, will be exceptionally challenging. The competition in the Men’s Open is getting stronger all the time, and even the current champion has no guarantee that he’ll be able to maintain his form consistently.
One thing is certain, though. Nick Walker no longer wants to be just the guy who once won Mr. Olympia. He wants to become one of the most successful bodybuilders in history!
The first major test will come at the 2027 Arnold Classic. Will “The Mutant” be able to add another prestigious title, or will one of his rivals hand him an unexpected defeat? Whatever the outcome, according to Walker himself, it will be just another chapter in his long journey to the top!
