LAHORE : The two-day Level One training course for bodybuilding coaches and officials organised with the collaboration of Sports Board Punjab concluded at the National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
Punjab Bodybuilding Association President Mir Shafeeq Awan, Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed, trainers Rana Nasrullah, Nabeel Ahmed, Drhashim and other officials was also present at the concluding ceremony. DG Sports Punjab Tariq Qureshi distributed certificates among 25 coaches who successfully completed the course. The participants were trained in fitness, nutrition, anti-doping measures, first aid and injury rehabilitation during the course. DG Sports Punjab said that anti-doping and fitness training has been imparted to coaches to promote transparency and integrity in sports. “Nutrition education has immense importance in the fitness of athletes and improving their performance”. He said that Sports Board Punjab is taking various initiatives for the promotion of sports across the province. “Fitness training is essential in every sport because better fitness leads to improved performance in the field”.
