2026 Balkan Grand Prix Pro Results: Angelov Wins 212

Radoslav Angelov of Bulgaria won the 212 at the 2026 Balkan Grand Prix Pro in Sofia, Bulgaria, on October 4, a week after he placed 10th at the 2026 212 Olympia. Kristina Zafirova of Slovenia won Figure and Sandra Colorado Acal of Spain won Wellness; Angelov and Zafirova both earned places at the 2027 Olympia.

212

Angelov defended the title he won at last year’s edition in Skopje, this time at home in Bulgaria. His lineup of six was the smallest of the three open classes in Sofia. Ovidijus Ringys of Lithuania placed second in his second pro show, three weeks after he finished third at the 2026 Europa Pro Show. John Harsudas of Australia was third on his pro debut.

Figure

Zafirova won from a lineup of 16 for her third pro win, all of them in 2026, after the FIBO Germany Pro in April and the Austrian Oak in August. She placed 15th at the Figure Olympia, one place ahead of Jeanne Kassel of Germany, who was second to her in Sofia. Kassel won three pro shows this spring: the Puerto Rico Pro, the Battle of the Bodies Pro and the New York Pro. Snezhana Emelyanenkova of Russia was third.

Wellness

Colorado Acal won from a lineup of 15 for her seventh pro win and her second of 2026, after the St. Louis Pro in May. She placed 16th at the Wellness Olympia; she was eighth there in 2023. Maria Paulette Aranguren of Spain was second for the second show in a row, after the Europa Pro Show in September, and Mariia Morozova of Ukraine took third.

The show ran no masters classes. Every placing is on the 2026 Balkan Grand Prix Pro: Full Scorecards & Placings page.

What It Means for the 2027 Olympia

Angelov and Zafirova are qualified: a 212 or Figure win at a pro show earns a place at the next Olympia. Wellness runs on points. A first win in the 2027 qualifying season pays 10 points and a second win qualifies, so Colorado Acal opens on 10; her St. Louis win in May counted toward the 2026 Olympia, not 2027. Our 2027 Olympia qualified athletes list tracks who is in and who is close.
