Now after four years, the dad-of-one weighs an amazing 16.5 stone (105kg) having lost around 30 stone (190kg) in weight. The father-of-one, from Wakefield, Yorkshire, says he consumed around 10,000 calories a day at his heaviest, regularly eating takeaway pizzas, burgers, KFC, chocolate and crisps while living a largely sedentary lifestyle.

Embarrassed by his size and worried about his future, Jack decided to turn his life around.

By the age of 25, he weighed 46.8 stone and said family and friends had become increasingly concerned about his health.

He said: “I would look in the mirror and hate the way I was, so I decided to do something about it.

After seeking help, Jack travelled to Turkey in April 2022 to undergo gastric band surgery before completely overhauling his lifestyle.

The procedure helped him control portion sizes and kickstarted a remarkable transformation.

Within a year he had lost around 15 stone.

However, Jack admits the operation alone was not enough and says the biggest changes came when he began educating himself about nutrition and exercise.

By 2024 he had reduced his weight to around 27 stone and decided to take his fitness journey even further.

He added: “I thought to myself, I’ve come this far, let’s see how far I can take it.”

He began spending hours in the gym, learning about training and healthy eating while building muscle and continuing to lose fat.

Now weighing around 16.5 stone, Jack works as a personal trainer and runs his own weight-loss coaching business, Akotrainz, helping others achieve their goals.

He also credits his wife for helping him stay consistent with meal preparation and encouragement throughout his journey.

In addition, he has undergone surgery to remove excess skin following his dramatic weight loss.

Later this year, he will step on stage in High Wycombe’s transformation category, where competitors are judged on the scale of their physical change.

For Jack, the competition is about much more than winning a trophy.

“If I can go from 47 stone to competing in a world championship bodybuilding show, anybody can achieve their goals,” he said.

He hopes his story will inspire others who feel trapped by their circumstances and show that lasting change is possible with determination and consistency.
