Mr. Olympia Judge’s 6-Year-Old Son Dies After Driveway Collision in California

The 6-year-old son of a Mr. Olympia judge died after he was struck by a vehicle near his family’s home in Temecula, California, on Saturday night.

A fundraiser organized for Preston El Guindy’s family says he was playing outside in his neighborhood when a moving vehicle hit him. Preston was taken to a hospital, where he died with his mother beside him, according to the GoFundMe page created by Stefanie Chesbro.

The fundraiser says Preston is survived by his parents and a sister named Scarlett who are all mourning an “insurmountable tragedy.”

“To know Preston is to love him. Always with a smile on his face he brings joy to everyone in his life,” Chesbro wrote. She said people in the community had reached out to ask how they could support the family.

The driver was Preston’s father, Tarik El Guindy, 48, according to a California Highway Patrol collision report cited by the Los Angeles Times. He was backing a Tesla Cybertruck out of the family’s driveway when it struck Preston. El Guindy is known as Terrick El Guindy in his professional work.

“At this point, everything is 100 [percent] pointing to an accident,” CHP Officer Jesus Garcia, a spokesperson for the agency’s Temecula office, told the Times. Garcia said the information available to investigators did not suggest foul play.

The CHP is continuing its investigation and reviewing video from the Cybertruck, along with any other available evidence, Garcia said. The Times reported that the vehicle was not in self-driving mode when the collision occurred, citing the CHP report.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office coroner’s record identifies Preston as a Temecula resident and places the injury at 9:06 p.m. Sept. 19 in the 43000 block of Brookhaven Court. It lists his death at 9:41 p.m. at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.

The coroner’s office names the CHP’s Temecula office as the investigating agency and directs inquiries about the case to that office.

El Guindy identifies himself on his public Instagram profile as an Olympia judge and director of international media for the NPC and IFBB Pro League. Olympia has also featured him in its bodybuilding news coverage.
A fitness account shared a condolence post on Instagram in collaboration with El Guindy. In an English translation of its caption, the account said it shared the family’s grief and wished them “strength, peace, and patience in the days ahead.”

Chesbro said the GoFundMe was established in response to people offering help after Preston’s death. Its page says donations will assist the family with funeral costs and living expenses.
