The first promotional Capital Secretariat Bodybuilding Champions Tournament concluded in Sana’a on Thursday, organized by the Capital Secretariat branch of the Bodybuilding Federation under the supervision of the General Federation.
The two-day tournament, held at the Power Home Club, featured athletes from several sports clubs and centers competing in five weight categories: 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80 kg.
In the 60kg category, Mohammed Al-Sarari won first place, followed by Aseel Al-Harazi, Ali Muthanna, Ahmed Al-Dubai and Othman Al-Harazi.
Waleed Hassan won the 65kg category, with Ibrahim Al-Areeqi, Haroun Al-Soudi, Mohammed Askuran and Ali Qasim finishing second through fifth, respectively.
In the 70kg category, Saleem Al-Taweel took first place, followed by Mohammed Al-Sabri, Ibrahim Al-Maqouli, Khaled Al-Ghaithi and Musheer Sa’sa’a.
Yaqub Qaed won the 75kg category, followed by Hisham Al-Shaibani, Abdulrahman Al-Nabhani, Badee’ Bishr and Waleed Al-Alfi.
In the 80kg category, Abdullah Al-Maliki claimed first place, followed by Dhi Yazan Al-Sayyadi, Fouad Al-Farah, Nasr Hussein and Amin Muflih.
At the closing ceremony, attended by sports officials and federation leaders, General Federation Secretary-General Mohammed Al-Roudhi praised the efforts that contributed to the tournament’s success , highlighted its role in improving athletes’ performance and discovering promising talents.
The winners were honored with trophies, medals, cash prizes and certificates of appreciation.
