The fitness world is grieving after the sudden death of Einar Méndez, the beloved Mexican bodybuilder and personal trainer who built a loyal following online under the name Einar Pro.

Born in 1978, Méndez became a sought-after coach among high-profile clients, including television host Martha Debayle, who worked with him for nearly a decade. Debayle publicly expressed her shock at his passing, saying she would think of him every time she stepped into a gym.
Beyond his work with celebrities, Méndez had grown a significant social media presence, sharing training programmes, nutritional guidance, and motivational content with tens of thousands of Instagram followers.

TMZ reports that Méndez collapsed at a gym in Mexico City on September 4 after wrapping up his training session.
His wife, Yan Méndez, later confirmed that a sudden and severe heart attack claimed his life, stressing that the episode occurred once he had already finished working out, not during the session itself.
What made the tragedy even harder to bear was the timing. Earlier that same day, Méndez had posted a heartfelt message on Instagram to mark his 30th wedding anniversary with Yan.
In it, he thanked God for her presence in his life, called her the love of his life, and expressed his hope that they would share many more years together. Hours later, he was gone.
Yan shared emotional tributes in the days that followed, describing her husband as strong, resilient, and deeply kind.
“Rest in peace, love of my life. Fly to the highest heights, and I promise we will meet again,” she wrote on Instagram.
In a video message, she also recalled a remark Einar had once made, saying that dying while training would be a perfect gift for him.
He is survived by their three daughters, Fanny, Frida, and María Regina, and those who knew him described him above all as a devoted family man.
