Six local athletes representing New York Family Fitness and Team NO BS Physiques will compete at the 2026 National Physique Committee (NPC) California State Championships Pro/Am on May 23 in Anaheim.
Led by Head Coach Billy Scarborough, the team represents the largest competitive bodybuilding team from Amador County ever to participate in the event.
Here is a look at the local competitors:
Billy Scarborough
About: Owner of Refined Water Trucking and head coach of NO BS Physiques, Scarboroguh brings more than 20 years of weight training experience into his fourth competitive bodybuilding season. He won the Novice Class at last year’s California State Championships and finished runner-up for the overall Classic Physique title. He returns this year aiming to bring the Mr. California title back to Amador County.
Shellie Keith
About: A personal trainer at New York Family Fitness, Shellie will compete in the Wellness Division during her second competitive bodybuilding season after five years of dedicated training. She credits bodybuilding with helping her rebuild confidence and personal strength.
Pollie Pent
About: A retired law enforcement professional now working as a Director of Compliance, Pollie will compete in the Physique Division at her first bodybuilding competition. She embraces a mindset centered on resilience and perseverance.
Ron Decker
About: A CDCR Correctional Officer, Decker will compete in the Men’s Physique Division. A county resident since 2002, he has trained for more than 13 years and considers this competition a lifelong bucket-list achievement.
Cameron Stewart
About: Cameron will make his debut in the Classic Physique Division after two years of focused training. He views stepping on stage as an opportunity to push himself beyond his limits.
Brandi Oneto-Bohl
About: A Jackson native, Brandi is a part-owner of Sue’s Shoppe, an Airbnb host, and a mother. Competing in the NPC Fit Model Division, she has been training for eight months and will be stepping on stage for her first competition season. She says her motivation goes beyond the stage: “I’m teaching my daughters that with commitment and a willingness to sacrifice, they’re capable of doing hard things and achieving more than they ever thought possible.”
The NPC California State Championships Pro/Am, promoted by Musclecontest, features NPC (amateurs) and IFBB (pro) athletes competing on the same stage. The NPC Federation serves as a pathway for amateurs to achieve pro status.
New York Family Fitness has become the fastest growing competitive fitness community in the tri-county area, supporting athletes of all ages and backgrounds pursuing personal transformation through fitness. Community members are encouraged to follow these athletes’ journeys as they prepare to represent the region on one of California’s biggest bodybuilding stages.
