Theo Von Loses His Mind After Seeing Former Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry: ‘I Would Not Even Leave the House’

Theo Von Had a Hilarious Reaction After Luke Bryan Introduced Him to the Physique of 2019 Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry.

Theo Von has apparently discovered what bodybuilding fans have known for years: Brandon Curry is an absolute monster.

The comedian and podcast host recently sat down with country music star Luke Bryan on an episode of This Past Weekend with Theo Von. The conversation initially centered around football and Bryan’s son, Bo, before eventually leading to one of Bo’s talented teammates, Maximus Curry.

Maximus just happens to be the son of 2019 Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry.

When Bryan pulled up a photo of the former Olympia champion, Von could hardly believe what he was looking at.

“God. Oh my God, brother,” Von said. “I wouldn’t make it through half a hug from that man.”

Von continued staring at Curry’s massive physique before joking about just how valuable that amount of muscle must be.

“With beef prices where they’re at, that dude’s gonna have… Somebody better keep eyes on him.”

“I couldn’t imagine having a muscle like that. I would not even leave the house if I had muscles like that. I’d just stay at home and be with my body.”

The clip was shared by BTS TV and quickly made the rounds in the bodybuilding community.

The bodybuilding connection came up because Bryan and Curry’s sons currently play together at Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tennessee.

Maximus Curry is establishing himself as a major football prospect in his own right. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound wide receiver is rated as a four-star recruit and has already accumulated more than 30 FBS offers, including Tennessee, Alabama, Miami, Missouri and Vanderbilt.

Curry caught 57 passes for 1,404 yards and 20 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2025, helping Battle Ground Academy capture a Division II-AA state championship. He opened the 2026 season with another huge performance, recording 191 receiving yards and two touchdowns on just five catches.

One of those scores came on an 80-yard connection from Bo Bryan, Luke Bryan’s son, during BGA’s 41-18 victory over St. Michael Catholic.

Athletic ability certainly runs in the Curry family. Before becoming one of the best bodybuilders in the world, Brandon Curry played football at Hunters Lane High School in Nashville and briefly at Middle Tennessee State.

Brandon Curry Reached the Pinnacle of Bodybuilding

Of course, Theo Von’s reaction becomes a little easier to understand when considering Curry’s bodybuilding résumé.

Curry captured the 2019 Mr. Olympia title and is also a two-time Arnold Classic champion.  At his peak, Curry became known for his enormous upper body, particularly his round delts, arms and exceptionally wide back.

For Von, however, none of the trophies or bodybuilding history seemed necessary. One look at Curry was enough.

And judging by his declaration that he would simply “stay at home and be with my body,” the former Mr. Olympia may have just gained another fan.
