Nick Walker Details His Full Day of Eating 4 Weeks Out from the 2026 Mr. Olympia – Fitness Volt

Nick Walker’s diet is strict and consistent leading into his fourth Mr. Olympia contest. In an August 31 video, he outlined the full day of eating fueling his preparations ahead of his September return.

In 2025, Walker faced ups and downs throughout the bodybuilding season. He pushed Derek Lunsford into a sudden-death tiebreaker at the Pittsburgh Pro, but narrowly lost. He made up ground at the New York Pro and qualified for Olympia. However, despite boasting enormous hype, “The Mutant” mistimed his peak and fell to sixth place.

In a return to form, Walker showcased better shape and sharper conditioning at the 2026 Arnold Classic. Ultimately, Andrew Jacked got the nod, but Walker left Columbus with his head high, having beaten Hadi Choopan for the first time in his career. With the Mr. Olympia coming soon, he broke down the foods that are helping him get stage-ready.

Nick Walker Shares His ‘Off Day’ Diet Ahead of the 2026 Mr. Olympia

Meal 1

  • Vanilla Bean Morphagen Nutrition Protein Powder
  • Creamy Unsalted Peanut Butter
  • Frozen Blueberries
  • Salt
  • Cream of Rice

Walker shared that making the whey drip takes patience, but it’s worth the time for better texture:

“I want every single bite to have a taste of that whey drip; that’s mandatory.”

“Remember, when you do the whey drip, start with a little bit of water. It’s a little time-consuming, but if you do too much water, it’s looking like liquid shit, then you fucked up. Remember, you can add water, not take it away. It’s a game of patience.”

Meal 2

  • 6 oz of Chicken Breast
  • 16 grams of Nut Butter
  • 90 grams of Cream of Rice
  • Salt
  • Cinnamon

When he’s in prep, he eliminates anything that contains artificial sweeteners.

“Whenever I’m in prep, we cut out anything involved with artificial sweeteners. I don’t honestly do too many in the off-season. Once in a while, I’ll do some flavored ones. The maple brown sugar, obviously, is one of my favorites. Then, my signature flavor, the strawberry cheesecake,” he said.

Meal 3

  • 250 grams of Rice
  • 6 ounces of Chicken Breast (MegaFit)
  • 60 grams of green beans

He moved on with chicken and rice for his third meal, keeping his food options similar throughout the day.

“It’s going to come out scalding fucking hot,” he said.

Meal 4

  • 90 grams of Cream of Rice
  • 6 ounces of Chicken Breast (MegaFit)
  • Cinnamon
  • Salt

Feeling hunger pains, Walker sat down for his fourth meal, which was just chicken and cream of rice.

“Food is a lot lower. This will be gone in like two minutes. It is what it is. This is what we do. Consistency is key, day in and day out. Back at the table, watching YouTube vids.”

Meal 5

  • Chicken
  • Green Beans
  • Salt
  • Cinnamon
  • Rice

Next, Walker discussed how Olympia preparations have changed since competing in Tampa:

“It’s different because, obviously, I’m used to just still pushing hard, so I’ve never done it in this fashion. It’s normally, I do a show, and I got like 14 weeks, or I have a show, and Olympia is in like two or three weeks. There’s no letting off. Eight weeks is that time where you can ease up a little and push back. I feel even with the way we’re doing it, we may not necessarily even have to push hard again, if that makes sense.”

Meal 6

He went carb-free for his final meal of the day.

“Last meal of the night. Chicken and veg. No carbs. It’s a sad meal, but it’s the last meal before bed on our off day. What do we really need carbs for?”

The bodybuilding community hasn’t turned its back on Walker since last year’s Olympia performance. Thus far, Phil Heath, Jay Cutler, and Terrick El Guindy have all argued that Walker can win the 2026 Mr. Olympia. Walker has gone on record, acknowledging that midsection control could make-or-break his next showing.

With the biggest contest of the year approaching, Walker isn’t taking risks with his diet. The 2026 Mr. Olympia will take over Sin City from September 24-27. Fitness Volt will have comprehensive previews and live coverage of the action!
