IMPHAL, Aug 8 : Joydev Thongam secured the title of 23 Mr Imphal East claiming the senior bodybuilding title in the district bodybuilding contest organised by the Imphal East District Body Builders and Fitness Association in collaboration with Super Gym, Khurai at Khurai Kala Bhavan, Khurai Sajor Leikai today.
30 athletes from 16 gyms competed in the men’s sports physique event and bodybuilding competitions for masters, junior and senior events held under the auspices of the All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA).
Joydev Thongam was representing AMBBA as he won the senior bodybuilding title. M Barnold of Ogust Gym, New Checkon finished second in the competition as Mohammad Ishtiyaque Hussain of RCC YAS, Khuman Lampak and Rajkumar Mangal of Super Gym, Khurai finished third and fourth.
M Barnold however claimed the junior bodybuilding title as Rajkumar Mangal of Super Gym and Chandam Bulu of RCC YAS finished second and third. Laishram Priyananda of Royal Gym, Ningomthongjao and Maisnam Jhaljit of Lion Gym, Khongman Mangjil were placed fourth and fifth in the segment.
The Men’s Sports Physique title, meanwhile, went to Kishan Nongthombam of Royal Gym as Pusham Ajash Khan of The Physique Empire, Tilipati and W Keilash of A3 Fitness, Khurai secured the second and third place titles. Sinam Hemraj of A3 Fitness and Abdul Shoiab Naqib of The Physique Empire were fourth and fifth in the competition.
Masters’ Bodybuilding title was claimed by Thangjam Kiran of Super Gym and he was followed by Sanasam Ranjan of X Fitness, Wangkhei; Chetan Kumar Yumnam of Haksel Gym, Ayangpalli and Ngangom Herojit of RCC in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places.
