Mom who ate 50 Krispy Kreme doughnuts for breakfast loses 20 STONE after ditching treat to become weightlifting champ

A MUM who regularly ate up to 50 Krispy Kreme doughnuts for breakfast lost more than 20stone to become a champion bodybuilder.

Andreina De Sousa Abreu — 31stone at her heaviest — had to work two jobs when her eating spiralled out of control.

She would scoff a loaf of bread for lunch and tuck into a takeaway for dinner, snacking on chocolate and crisps. Her bulk broke seven beds.

But the mum of two started doing YouTube workouts when doctors warned her she was putting her life at risk.

Andreina swapped the £1,000 a month she was spending on Krispy Kremes for therapy and slowly rebuilt her life.

Now 40, she tips the scales at 9st and has gone from a size 28 to a size six to eight.

She has won eight international bodybuilding titles.

The online coach and personal trainer, from Hounslow, West London, said: “I would walk to Tesco every morning and buy 50 doughnuts and wash it down with a milkshake.

“Eating became an addiction. I would eat and eat and eat until I couldn’t even recognise myself any more.

“I used to be fit and healthy. But I had a traumatic experience, and then there was Covid. I secluded myself into this dark little bubble.

“I felt ashamed to go anywhere and didn’t want people looking at me.”

Then Andreina was given the doctors’ stark warning. Unable to access a gym during lockdown, she began working out at home, doing a Les Mills 45-minute bodypump workout every day.

She started recording herself doing home workouts and posting them on social media to keep herself motivated. She first tried bodybuilding in October 2021.

Andreina said of her transformation: “It’s still not easy, but if I can do it, anybody can do it.”
