Takero Okajima (36), who contributed to Rakuten Eagles ‘s championship win in 2013 and has served as a team ambassador since his retirement in 2025, updated his Instagram on the 21st, reporting that he participated in a bodybuilding competition.
Okajima competed in the “Beginners Men’s Physique Open Division” at the Miyagi Prefecture Bodybuilding Championships Open Tournament held on the 19th. He passed the preliminary round in 9th place, but was unable to place in the finals (top 6). He expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much to everyone who supported me,” and added, “Although the result was disappointing, I will use the fact that I was able to try as confidence, and I would like to continue to ‘challenge’ myself in various things in my life from now on!”

The hamburger was just too delicious.”
