Nick Walker Ahead of Tampa Pro: ‘I’m Not Just Coming to Win, I’m Coming to Annihilate’
Nick Walker has officially arrived in Tampa, Florida. And if his latest comments are any indication, the former Arnold Classic champion isn’t simply looking to punch his ticket to the 2026 Mr. Olympia. Just days before taking the stage at the 2026 Tampa Pro, Walker delivered a chilling warning, making it clear that his goal isn’t simply to win, but to leave no doubt about who the best bodybuilder in the lineup is.
“I’m not just coming to win, I’m coming to annihilate. I’m coming to embarrass. I want everyone to see that there’s a big separation between me and my opponents.”
Walker quickly clarified that his confidence isn’t meant as a slight toward the rest of the field.
“And I say that with the most respect to everybody competing… But there will be distance, and a long distance.”
Nick Walker Predicts ‘Big Separation’ Between Himself and Tampa Pro Competition
The comments reflect the confidence Walker has carried throughout his 2026 contest prep. After months of physique updates, brutal training sessions, and meticulous dieting, he believes he’s bringing a package capable of separating itself from the rest of the Tampa Pro lineup.
A dominant victory would not only reinforce Walker’s status as one of bodybuilding’s elite competitors, it would also build tremendous momentum heading into the 2026 Mr. Olympia, where he’ll once again look to challenge for the Sandow trophy.
Walker also offered insight into his peak week philosophy. He says that he doesn’t believe competitors should dramatically alter their training simply because they’re days away from stepping onstage.
“Might be peak week, but we don’t let off the gas…Maybe take volume down a little bit, but intensity remains.”
While he may reduce overall training volume slightly, Walker says the effort never changes.
“I never understood people, ‘Light the load, you’re just going for a pump,… Still going to failure. Get the f*** out of here.”
He also believes many competitors make peak week far more complicated than necessary.
“Just because it’s peak week don’t mean you got to do different s***… Manipulate water a little bit. Add a little carbs back in. It’s simple.”
According to Walker, too many athletes suddenly introduce foods and strategies they haven’t used throughout prep, a mistake he believes can backfire at the worst possible time.
“People want to throw pancakes in… You ever had any of those foods for like 16 weeks? Yeah, let’s throw it in. F***ing idiot.”
With Tampa Pro just around the corner, Walker has made one thing abundantly clear: he’s not interested in squeaking out a victory. If his prediction comes true, fans could witness one of the most dominant performances of the 2026 season.
