ZAMBIA’s bodybuilding fraternity is mourning Darlington Katongo, owner of Tryton Fitness and a prominent gym equipment supplier, who died early Tuesday.
Katongo collapsed, just days after competing at the Mr. Kanyama Bodybuilding Competition held last Saturday, according to a statement from the bodybuilding community.
The bodybuilding community, described Katongo’s death as “a great loss to the fraternity and to all who had the privilege of knowing him.”
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, the Tryton Fitness team, and all those mourning this tragic loss. May God grant you strength and comfort during this difficult time,” the statement said.
The community remembered Katongo for his contribution to the fitness industry and his dedication to the sport.
