However, Thai authorities have not found any evidence linking the two cases. Murphy, 32, died after drowning in a lake in Samut Prakan province on July 7, according to local reports. As discussions spread online, several posts pointed to one of Murphy’s final videos, where he joked about LeoAndLongevity. That detail fueled conspiracy theories, even though investigators continue to treat the two deaths as separate cases.

According to a July 8 report by The Independent, Connor Murphy was found dead after entering a lake in the Bang Phli district of Thailand’s Samut Prakan province. Thai outlet ThaiRath reported that rescue teams were called after witnesses saw an American man enter the water. Divers later recovered his body about 20 meters from the shoreline.Soon after the news broke, social media users began drawing comparisons between Murphy’s death and the unresolved death of fitness creator LeoAndLongevity, whose real name was Laith Abdullah Algaz.Several posts circulating online focused on one of Murphy’s last videos, where he mocked LeoAndLongevity. Some users then began suggesting there could be a connection between the two deaths because both men were fitness influencers and both died in Thailand.One social media post read: “Apparently his last video was mocking somebody who died named LeoAndLongevity, I go to google who that was and it’s another content creator (connor) whom cause of death is still mysterious both died in Thailand. Are the two connected? Hmmm someone knows something.”Another user alleged: “Connor, Leo Longevity’s murderer, drowned so Clavicular could walk.” A third post claimed: “Connor Murphy was there when LeoLongevity got brutally murdered but nakd in his bathroom and now Connor Murphy drowned in a lake…” Despite these claims, authorities have not presented any evidence supporting a connection between the two cases.
What investigators have said about Connor Murphy and LeoAndLongevity cases
ThaiRath reported that Connor Murphy had been renting a house near the lake for around three months. Witnesses and security personnel told authorities that he appeared distressed before entering the water. They said he was shouting, rolling on the road, making prayer gestures, and attempting to approach another person’s vehicle before running toward the lake when police arrived.Witnesses told investigators that Murphy swam for some time but eventually appeared exhausted. He later disappeared beneath the surface. Reports said the lake was more than 10 meters deep.Murphy’s 22-year-old girlfriend also spoke with police. According to ThaiRath, she said the couple had recently reunited after spending some time apart. She told investigators she had never seen Murphy use drugs and did not know what led to his behavior that day.Authorities reportedly found two unused syringes in Murphy’s vehicle and unidentified white pills inside a waist bag. Investigators have not connected those items to his death and are waiting for laboratory testing and toxicology results.Meanwhile, LeoAndLongevity, whose real name was Laith Abdullah Algaz, was found dead at his home in Thailand on January 30. Police discovered him on a bathroom floor with dried blood near his nose and mouth.
