An interaction with Larry Wheels and Roelly Winklaar brought a rush of excitement for Gallup resident Steve Martinez.

The 73-year-old visited his gym on Saturday afternoon to meet his idols as the Cowboy Iron Gym, which celebrated its third anniversary.
The gym, which is owned and operated by Chad and Tiffany Robinson, welcomed the local powerlifting community for a meet-and-greet with the two bodybuilders and Diné bull rider Cody Jesus.
“I was very excited because I follow Larry on Instagram,” Martinez said. “I’ve watched all of his workouts, and for Roelly, I’ve seen him on stage, so to come out here into a place like Gallup and into the gym and meet them in person is outstanding. It’s really great, and they’re awesome people.”
