Bodybuilding competition begins Friday
DHAKA, July 1, 2026 (BSS) – The two-day Mr Dhaka Bodybuilding competition,
organised by Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation (BBF), will begin on Friday
(July 3) at National Sports Council gymnasium in the city.
Nearly 100 bodybuilders from different districts across the country are
expected to participate in the 10 weight categories of the two-day meet.
The 10 categories are-55 kg, -60kg, -65kg, -70kg, -75kg, -80 kg, 80+kg,
master bodybuilding (40 and above) and men’s physics category.
The preliminary round of the different categories will be held on the first
day while the final round and prize distribution ceremony will be held on the
second day of the competition.
State Minister for youth and sports Md Aminul Haque is expected to present in
the closing ceremony on Saturday (July 4) as the chief guest and distribute
the prizes.
The top six bodybuilders will be awarded with a medal, cash award and statue.
The first to third place finishers would get gold, silver and bronze medals.
