The UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation has announced the organization of the sixth edition of the UAE Bodybuilding Championship, set to take place on July 26 at The Agenda Theatre in Dubai Media City.

The event is regarded as one of the federation’s most prominent and strongest annual competitions.

The championship was officially unveiled during a press conference held at The Agenda complex in Dubai, attended by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors; Vice Chairman Ali Abdullah Bin Haider; Secretary General Mohammed Abdulrahim Al Marri; the championship’s official partner Issa Al Dah; and several sports officials involved in bodybuilding.

During the conference, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi expressed his appreciation to all partners and sponsors for their continued support, emphasizing that the championship represents a key milestone in the sporting calendar.

He also praised the federation’s strategic partners for their role in supporting the event’s success, noting that their commitment reflects the growing confidence in the remarkable progress being achieved by UAE bodybuilding. He added that the current partnerships could mark the beginning of a new phase of fruitful cooperation that will contribute to the development of UAE sports and strengthen its presence at various levels.

For his part, Federation Secretary General Mohammed Abdulrahim Al Marri highlighted the importance of the championship as one of the federation’s flagship annual events, noting that it serves as the primary platform for selecting national team athletes ahead of upcoming international competitions and external participations. He also commended the organizing committee for its efforts to deliver a distinguished event befitting its significance.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Johar, Board Member and Chairman of the National Teams and Competitions Committee, revealed that around 250 athletes are expected to participate in the championship. He added that the total prize pool will reach Dhs90,000, encouraging athletes to register early to secure their participation while thanking all sponsors and partners for their support.

Faisal Al Ghais Al Zaabi, Board Member and Chairman of the Referees Committee, stated that the championship will feature 17 judges, including 15 judges from the UAE and resident officials, in addition to two judges from GCC countries—one from Bahrain and another from the Oman. He noted that the competition will include approximately 25 categories across various bodybuilding and physique divisions, covering different weight and height classes.

Strategic partner Issa Al Dah welcomed the hosting of the event at The Agenda complex, stressing the organizing committee’s commitment to providing all necessary resources to ensure the championship’s success and continue the achievements of previous editions. He also praised Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi’s support for UAE bodybuilding, describing the event as the first step toward broader future cooperation.

In addition, the championship’s media partner, Abdulaziz Abdullah, Director of Sport4All website, presented the media coverage plans accompanying the event, aimed at enhancing the championship’s visibility and achieving wide media exposure. He announced the introduction of a special “Sport4All Cup” to be awarded to the overall winners in five categories, marking the first time such an award has been included in the history of the UAE Bodybuilding Championship.

He explained that the award was first launched in 2018 to honor stars of the UAE Pro League, where it is presented to the Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Coach, and Best Referee in each league round.

He added that its inclusion in the UAE Bodybuilding Championship represents a new initiative to support athletes and motivate them to achieve further success and accomplishments.
