T&T lifter fifth at World Champs | Local Sports


Trinidad and Tobago powerlifter Zahra Padia, 29, has achieved a remarkable milestone on the international stage, finishing fifth overall in the Women’s 84+ kg category at the 2026 International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Powerlifting Championships held in Druskininkai, Lithuania.

Competing against some of the strongest athletes from around the globe, Padia demonstrated strength, determination, and resilience throughout the competition. Her top five finish places her among the world’s elite powerlifters and represents one of the most significant achievements of her career to date.
