Bodybuilder Terrence Ruffin is keeping his diet clean in the lead-up to the 2026 Mr. Olympia. He showcased a typical day of eating via YouTube on June 12, highlighting his go-to foods that are fueling his physique for the stage.
Terrence Ruffin remains a top-tier Classic Physique contender, courtesy of his developed muscle separation and masterful posing. He compiled true momentum in the class in 2025, having laid claim to back-to-back wins at the Pittsburgh and New York Pro shows.
At the 2025 Mr. Olympia, Ruffin secured third place when pressure was at its highest. He kept the momentum alive, winning the Classic Physique crown at the Prague Pro. In the meantime, he took an off-season to improve his odds moving forward. Below, he dives into how he’s approaching his diet to ensure he presents a never-before-seen physique in Vegas.
Terrence Ruffin Shares 4,574-Calorie Full Day of Eating 16 Weeks from 2026 Mr. Olympia
Find his meal breakdown from the video below:
Meal 1: Pre-Workout
- 40g whey isolate
- 120g cream of rice
- 150g mixed berries
- 28g peanut butter
- 1g pink salt
Ruffin has preferred cream of rice over oatmeal in the mornings as he kicks off preparations for Olympia.
“Going to eat this and head to the gym,” he shared. “Right now, we’re eating so much, so we’re going to stick with cream of rice [over oatmeal].”
Meal 2: Post-Workout
- 2 scoops whey isolate
- 150g cream of rice
- 1 medium banana
He kept it simple post-workout, enjoying more cream of rice with a banana and whey protein.
“We just made it back to the crib, we got our next meal going down. Plain and simple, it looked a lot like the first one.”
“That’s 50 grams of protein,” he adds. “Huge meal going down right now.”
Meal 3
- 200g ground turkey
- 300g rice
Not so glamorous, but necessary for gains; Ruffin moved on with just ground turkey and rice for his third meal.
“Three meals spaced two hours apart, give or take a couple of minutes here or there. We will probably end up eating the last meal at midnight.”
Meal 4
- 300g rice
- 200g chicken
- garlic sauce
In the evening, Ruffin circled back to the kitchen for more rice but swapped the turkey for chicken.
“It’s 9 P.M. right now, and we are really behind on meals. We’ll see what we can do a little bit later.”
“This is normally what I’d do last in the day, but it’s a little bit less volume so it helps me get it down a little bit quicker.”
Meal 5: Late Night
- 200g cream of rice
- 1 large banana
- 30g peanut butter
- 100g blueberries
- 2 scoops of whey protein
He woke to ensure his last meal of the day, which was cream of rice with fruit and peanut butter.
“It’s currently like 2 A.M. Your body fell asleep. I knew I would. Like I said before, we got really behind due to the day. We’re going to try to eat a bit more to make up for it,” Terrence Ruffin said.
Ruffin has sculpted his physique under the tutelage of legendary bodybuilders. He recently teamed up with Rich Gaspari and pushed through a workout to build bigger legs. “The Dragon Slayer” stressed that knee sleeves are a helpful tool on heavier leg day sessions.
With small improvements, Ruffin could make a play for the Classic Physique Olympia title. The 2026 Mr. Olympia is scheduled for September 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
