The men’s and women’s powerlifting teams of Goa University pose with officials.

Goa University has selected its men’s and women’s powerlifting teams for the All India Inter-University Powerlifting Championship 2025-26, scheduled to be held at the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai, from June 3 to 8.
The men’s team will be represented by Pushpraj Naik and Saish Shetkar, while Durva R Salgaonkar and Agnes Fernandes will compete in the women’s category. The men’s team will be coached and managed by Audumber A Tamse, while Andrew Gomes will serve as women’s team coach. Prissie Fernandes has been appointed team manager.
