Brazil: 22-year-old bodybuilder dies in pursuit of extreme

A 22-year-old Brazilian bodybuilder reportedly lost his life while pursuing an extreme muscular physique in Brazil. Young bodybuilder and social media influencer Gabriel Gainley passed away suddenly, shocking his fans and the fitness community.

According to international media reports, Gabriel Gainley died due to a medical condition known as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), a disease in which the heart muscles become abnormally thick, making it difficult for the heart to pump blood properly.

Reports state that the young bodybuilder was found dead in his apartment in São Paulo.

Police said that one of his friends became concerned after being unable to contact him for two days. With the assistance of apartment staff, the friend entered the flat and found Gabriel lying face down and unconscious.

Initial investigations reportedly uncovered possible steroids and various medications at the scene. However, authorities clarified that the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after the forensic report is completed.

Officials have described the incident as a sudden suspicious death, though no signs of violence were found at the location.

Gabriel Gainley was highly popular on social media, with more than 2.4 million followers on Instagram. He had been preparing for the Brazilian bodybuilding competition Musclecontest Brazil scheduled for July.
