The “Punjab Strongest Women Raw Powerlifting Championship 2026” is scheduled to be held on May 10 (Sunday) in Lahore, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
The event is being organised by the Punjab Raw Powerlifting Association and will feature women athletes from across the province competing in raw powerlifting categories.
According to organisers, the championship will aim to promote women’s strength sports and provide a platform for emerging athletes in powerlifting.
International strengthlifter Chaudhary Ashraf will attend the event as chief guest, while national powerlifter Mudassar Butt will serve as organising secretary.
The event will take place at Pak Arab Society B Block, Forest Cafe, Lahore.
Competition will begin at 9:00 am.
According to organisers, the championship will feature three main categories: junior, senior, and master.
Participation in the event has been kept free to encourage wider involvement of women athletes.
The event is being led by Aqeel Javed Butt, President of the Punjab Raw Power Lifting Association and an international powerlifter, while Waqas Zafar, Deputy Director of RUDA, is serving as organising secretary.
Promotional material highlights the theme “Strength is Power,” with organisers aiming to promote fitness, strength sports, and competitive opportunities for women in Pakistan.
The championship is expected to draw rising talent from across the region, providing a platform for emerging and experienced lifters alike.
