Men’s Open Preview: One Of The Deepest Fields Of The Year
This Men’s Open lineup feels closer to an Arnold-level showdown than a typical pro qualifier. Multiple athletes entering this contest are viewed as legitimate Olympia threats or dark horse contenders heading into the second half of the season.
Michal Krizo
Krizo enters as arguably the biggest wildcard in the entire show. The Slovak mass monster brings overwhelming size, cartoonish arms, and some of the freakiest muscle bellies in the division. Conditioning is always the biggest talking point with Krizo, but if he comes in peeled, many believe he has the tools to overpower almost anyone on stage. Recent prep updates have only added to the hype surrounding his New York Pro debut.
Rafael Brandao
Brandao may bring the most polished physique in the lineup. The Brazilian star combines aesthetics, symmetry, structure, and improving size, making him extremely dangerous under modern judging standards. He doesn’t rely solely on mass, instead winning comparisons through flow and balance. If he nails conditioning, he could absolutely push for the title.
Blessing Awodibu
Few competitors create crowd energy like Blessing. The former New York Pro champion already has history with this show and remains one of bodybuilding’s most charismatic personalities. Fans will be watching closely to see whether improved conditioning and added maturity can return him to the top callout.
Tonio Burton
Tonio Burton continues to build momentum as one of the most complete physiques in the division. He may not generate the same social media buzz as Krizo or Blessing, but Burton consistently brings sharp conditioning and strong proportions. In a lineup where some bigger names could miss their peak, Burton feels like a very real threat to climb into the top spots.
Patrick Moore
Patrick Moore remains one of the more intriguing athletes in the field because of his classic structure and stage presence. Injuries slowed his momentum over the last few years, but when Moore is on, he still presents one of the cleaner and more aesthetic physiques in Men’s Open. A strong showing in New York could immediately put him back into serious Olympia conversations.
Men’s Physique Preview: Ali Bilal vs. Edvan Palmeira Could Steal The Weekend
While Men’s Open headlines the Saturday show, Men’s Physique could end up producing some of the sharpest conditioning battles of the entire weekend.
Ali Bilal
Ali Bilal enters as one of the favorites after rapidly becoming one of the hottest names in Men’s Physique. Known for razor-sharp conditioning, a tiny waist, and elite presentation, Bilal has already built major momentum in recent seasons. His recent physique updates have generated serious buzz online heading into New York.
Edvan Palmeira
Edvan Palmeira brings one of the most aesthetic looks in the division. Known for structure, shape, and stage flow, Palmeira has steadily climbed through increasingly competitive lineups. If he combines fullness with elite conditioning this weekend, he could make this a real battle for the title.
Why This Show Matters
Outside of the Olympia and Arnold Classic, the New York Pro has become one of the biggest proving grounds in bodybuilding. The winners here instantly become major players in the Olympia conversation, and this year’s lineup has enough star power to reshape multiple divisions heading into summer.
