Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s 18-year-old Ayushi Prajapati has made a remarkable debut in powerlifting by qualifying for the National Sub-Junior and Junior Powerlifting Championship. Ayushi, who trains at Actin Fitness Centre in Durganagar, topped the 63 kg category in the Classic Junior Powerlifting Championship organised by the Telangana Powerlifting Association. Her performance has earned her a spot to represent Telangana at the national-level competition in Amalapuram, Konaseema district, next month.
Powerlifting is increasingly gaining popularity in Telangana, with young athletes, especially girls, demonstrating exceptional talent. Ayushi’s dedication and rigorous training have helped her achieve this milestone.
Ayushi, who will be competing in the junior category at the national level, aims to take her success further, aspiring to win a medal for India at international events. Telangana celebrates her achievement as an inspiration for aspiring powerlifters.
