BUFFALO, N.Y. (WETM) – It was a stellar weekend for Elmira’s own John Knapp in bodybuilding.
Knapp earned a 2nd place finish at the 2026 Buffalo Bodybuilding Championships in the 60+ senior division. Last year, Knapp placed 3rd and topped it this year as the oldest competitor in the division at 69 years old. The hall of fame baseball coach made a mark at Corning High School and at Elmira Notre Dame for years but is now making an impact through his newest passion.
