Joseph Baena, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, won the INBA (International Natural Bodybuilding Association, which means “International Natural Bodybuilding Association” in free translation into Portuguese) Iron Gladiator last Saturday (4). The title in question gave him a professional card with the PNBA (Profissional Natural Bodybuilding Association, which is “Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association” in Portuguese). Both acronyms refer to the same federation, with the distinction between amateur and professional athletes.
Baena is in the Classic Physique category and had made his bodybuilding debut a week before turning professional, in a show in which he was also champion. Both events took place in the United States.
Born in 1997 in the state of California, the bodybuilder is the son of the Hollywood star and Mildred Patricia Baena. He has worked as a fitness model, actor and even a real estate agent.
It didn’t take long for several fans and fitness experts to compare Baena and Schwarzenegger’s physiques. In addition to similar muscular shapes, the two have the same height – 1.88 m.
So far, Baena has not revealed whether he has plans to pursue a career in sports or whether the stage is just a “hobby”.
