Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Joseph Baena has only just launched his bodybuilding career, but the strongman has already won two prestigious competitions.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was recently photographed encouraging son Jospeh Baena while he pumped iron at Gold’s Gym near Venice Beach in California.
That was days before Baena endeavoured to follow in his father’s footsteps by entering the world of competitive bodybuilding.
And the Arnie pep talk clearly paid off, as Baena is two-for-two when it comes to contests.
Joseph Baena wins second bodybuilding title in a week
TikTok/Joseph BaenaAt the tail-end of March, Joseph Baena launched his bodybuilding career by competing at the NPC Natural Colorado State Championships in Denver, Colorado.
He got that career off to a wildly successful start, with Baena placing first in the Men’s Open Bodybuilding Heavyweight Class contest, as well as the Classic Physique True Novice and Classic Physique Novice contests. He also won the silver medal in the Classic Physique Open Class C show.
Now Baena is going from strength-to-strength – literally – by winning the Classic Physique contest at the INBA Iron Gladiator competition in Corona, California this past Saturday.

Baena is relatively late to the sport, telling the International Natural Bodybuilding Associations’s official Instagram account: “My fitness journey, it’s been a long time. I started swimming and lost a lot of the fat.
“It wasn’t until my junior year of college, so about 10 years ago – or eight years ago – that I started lifting weights and fell in love with bodybuilding; seeing the improvement, the muscle gain, the strength gain.
“I fell in love with the sport, even watching, but this year was the year that I said ‘enough being afraid, enough overthinking, it’s time to commit and do a show!’”
So that’s what Schwarzenegger’s son is up to, while you can head here to see the movies Arnie plans to make next.
