Former Mister Universe champion Luis Vidal Butler is fighting for his life after suffering a heart attack at his home in Mallorca. Menorca reported that he became a well-known figure in Mallorca’s bodybuilding scene after moving there in 1997, having grown up in Madrid, where his father, respected sports journalist Miguel Vidal Perelló (Consell 1942–2021), built his career.

According to Metro, emergency services were called to the 57-year-old’s residence in Cala Major, Palma, on the evening of March 21 after he began experiencing chest tightness before collapsing. Paramedics and police arrived shortly after 7 p.m.

Local reports say responders spent around 90 minutes attempting to revive him after he went into cardiac arrest at the property.
