Bodybuilding Veteran Iain Valliere Shares Top 10 Men’s Open and Classic Physique Picks for the 2026 Detroit Pro – Fitness Volt

The IFBB Pro League calendar is in full force, with bodybuilding action taking center stage this weekend. On March 13, bodybuilding veteran Iain Valliere shared his top 10 Men’s Open and Classic Physique picks for the 2026 Detroit Pro.

In the Men’s Open class, a few names stand out. Fans expect a solid performance from Leandro Sencini Peres, who enjoyed a strong 2025 season. Thanks to his tight waist and balanced proportions, he managed to claim sixth place at the Pittsburgh Pro. At the contest, he had the chance to see how he compared against reigning Mr. Olympia Derek Lunsford and mass monster Nick Walker. Peres also turned in an impressive third-place finish at the California State Pro

In addition, Mohamed Foda has garnered attention ahead of the show. He’s fresh off competing at the stacked 2026 Arnold Classic, won by the new champ, Chinedu Andrew ‘Jacked’ Obiekea. Foda managed to claim seventh place, defeating Akim Williams, Hassan Mostafa, and Anthony William. Patrick Moore is also back in action; his aesthetics and detailed back could spell trouble for the roster.

Meanwhile, Blessing Awodibu, who took an extended break from competition, will make his comeback. “The Boogeyman” has emphasized leg training as of late, with hopes of once again qualifying for the 2026 Mr. Olympia, set for Sept. 24-27.

In Classic Physique, Wesley Vissers is the clear on-paper favorite. With Mike Sommerfeld missing weight for the Arnold Classic, Vissers dominated en route to his second victory. His win qualified him for the Mr. Olympia, but “The Dutch Oak” wants another test in Detroit. With just two divisions featured at this event, each champion will get their time in the spotlight.
